Hexagonal Tower - Semur en Auxois, Burgundy

Fabulous Burgundian stone hexagonal tower situated on the edge of the medieval town of Semur en Auxois. 
Sheltered under old oak trees with a private garden, wooden terrace, table and chairs, barbecue and outside furniture. The house is cool in the summer and cosy in the winter months.
The tower has been designed and built by us, thoughtfully maximising space to take full advantage of the hexagonal design.

The open plan kitchen, dining, sitting room has under floor central heating and burgundian flag stone flooring, a new kitchen has been fully installed and the room has been decorated in cool modern colours. There is all you need to cook, pots and pans, china and dishes.....The kitchen is also fitted with a dishwasher, sink, fridge and microwave/oven.

There is a small comfy sofa, television, selection of dvd's and some games.

The magnificent stone turning staircase leads up to the double bedroom.

The double bedroom has an ensuite shower, basin and toilet. It has beautiful stone round windows with handmade metal shutters which give lovely views across the field opposite.

The wooden terrace has table and chairs, sun loungers and barbecue for outside dining.

We have a swimming pool in the garden that is shared with clients from the Workshop gites.
A winding path through the vegetable plot, past the hens leads to the pool. It is heated from May to mid September.
We have newly installed a wooden barrel sauna situated near the pool. 

We can deliver breakfast in the mornings, fresh pastries, hot and cold drinks, homemade jam from fruit from the garden, yogurt, fruit etc, please ask when you book.
Extra services we offer :

Being in the region of food and excellent wine we have put together a small menu of dishes that you might like to try over your stay.
Regional dishes include the famous boeuf bourguignon served with garlicky cream potatoes, snails filled with garlic butter and served with fresh crusty bread all to be sampled with a bottle of red wine from the region.

Our exterior barrel sauna can be used in the cooler months of the year, it's a great way to relax and enjoy a really good nights sleep.
Book an afternoon seance and enjoy the sauna followed by tea and homemade cake.
Booking the sauna is advisable.

Massages with organic argan oil scented with orange flower can be organised during your stay. Full head to toe or just legs and back, ask for details or have one tailor made for you.
Dogs are very welcome at the Tower, please make sure that you bring all necessary items with you for your pet to feel comfortable and at home.

We have fruit and vegetables available from the garden depending on the season and the weather, baskets of produce can be ordered for your arrival.

Our hens produce wonderful eggs, come by and visit them and watch small children's eyes light up when they collect the eggs from the nests, eggs can be bought for your stay.
