Workshop n°2 - Semur en Auxois, Burgundy
Our Workshop n°2 property sleeps 7 people in 2 king size bedrooms and 1 triple room making an ideal house for family gatherings or groups of friends.
The 2 workshop properties can be rented separately or together making a total of 13 beds plus baby beds if necessary.

A large majority of the furniture and fittings are re-used, repaired and often re-invented!

On arrival your car can be parked in front of the Workshop allowing easy unloading of suitcases and a direct entry to the property.
The main room is south facing, sun streams through the front bay windows making an airy and bright atmosphere. 


The front door opens directly into the open plan kitchen, dining, sitting room where there is everything you need to prepare and eat a meal or just relax in our comfy sofas in front of the tv.
There are bench seats at the dining table with ample room for at least 8 people to dine in comfort. The pellet stove can be lit on cooler evenings and this will heat the whole space for toasty times and snuggles on the sofa.
The ground floor spacious bedroom with a king size bed, large french wardrobe, pretty armchair and mirror is suitable for people with reduced mobility as there is plenty of space to move around. Just next door is the shower room with old fashioned basin, toilet and shower with water jets.
We have installed a washing machine for your use and there is a clothes rack to dry the laundry on.

A wooden tread winding staircase takes you to the first floor.
Numerous games and books can be found on the mezzanine with a sofa and strategic plug point for recharging tablets and telephones.
Our light and airy triple room has full sized bunk beds and a single bed, chest of drawers and old wicker chair.
The third bedroom has a king size bed, space for your belongings and overlooks the rear of the property towards the pool and sauna.
The shower room with toilet and fitted basin has been decorated in cool colors with pretty patterned cement tiles.

Our well exposed terrace with Burgundian stone table and chairs profits from the warm morning sun through to the early afternoon and is completely fenced for the security of small children and animals. We provide a barbecue and parasol for lazy lunches...
A pathway leads to the secured pool and sauna some 20 meters away.

Extra services we offer :

Being in the region of food and excellent wine we have put together a small menu of dishes that you might like to try over your stay.
Regional dishes include the famous boeuf bourguignon served with garlicky cream potatoes, snails filled with garlic butter and served with fresh crusty bread all to be sampled with a bottle of red wine from the region.

Our exterior barrel sauna can be used in the cooler months of the year, it's a great way to relax and enjoy a really good nights sleep.
Book an afternoon seance and enjoy the sauna followed by tea and homemade cake.
Booking the sauna is advisable.

Massages with organic argan oil scented with orange flower can be organised during your stay. Full head to toe or just legs and back, ask for details or have one tailor made for you.
Dogs are very welcome at the Workshop, please make sure that you bring all necessary items with you for your pet to feel comfortable and at home.

We have fruit and vegetables available from the garden depending on the season and the weather, baskets of produce can be ordered for your arrival.

Our hens produce wonderful eggs, come by and visit them and watch small childrens' eyes light up when they collect the eggs from the nests, eggs can be bought for your stay.

Arrival and departure days can be any day of the week except during July and August when the changeover day is Saturday.
Below shows the dates, prices and minimum stay requirements, prices are based on 6 people sharing, extra guests will be charged 30€ per night.
There is a cleaning fee of 60€ per reservation.
